Attitude of Gratitude

On the walls of our ancestors, many life-affirming quotes and mantras have been framed in our minds that still resonant with us today, despite their being decades old.  While they could seem trite or cliché in our current fast-paced lifestyle, many of  them have remained timeless and seem to answer the question that so many clients have asked me, “How can I just be happy and let go of my negative thoughts?”
Of course, the answer to that question lies within the unique person who poses it.  However, beginning with an “Attitude of Gratitude” can sometimes be a good start.  I have used this poem from time to time to remind me of the importance of starting my day with a positive mantra.  Please remember, we are here to help you find your own unique answers.

~Charlotte

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.  It is more important that the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill.  It will make or break a company…a church…a home.  The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have and that is our attitude.  I am convinced that life is 10% of what happens to me, and 90% of how I react to it.  And so it is with you, we are in charge of our attitudes.” ~Charles Swindoll
